Sound of Football Podcast 551 - Check incomplete

It was another weekend of VAR controversary in the Premier League but this weekend its failures were a matter of opinion rather than fact. Mikel Arteta was left fuming when his Arsenal side were denied three inconclusive shouts to disallow the only goal of the game against Newcastle. Then on Monday night the London derby between Spurs and Chelsea descended into chaos with five disallowed goals and two red cards.

After a number of process errors, apologies and referee demotions it's hard to remember a time when respect for decision-making at the top level has ever been as low. Does the blame fall solely on VAR or do expectations need to be reassessed?
