Sound Of Football Podcast 220 - Disappointment

All of us know you should never rely on football to entertain you - it will always let you down. After we urged you to follow the Championship because it was going down to the wire, it's now sewn up with a full weekend of fixtures still to play.

We all know it but somehow it always seems to surprise us just how disappointing it can be, and yet still we come back for more and still Graham, Terry and Jan keep talking about it. Also this week you'll find out why Chelsea aren't boring and where next for Jurgen Klopp (spoiler: It's not Newcastle)

Sound Of Football Podcast 219 - Uppers and Downers

With the media hysterical about party balloons filled with a mild anaesthetic, we thought we'd have a discussion about who's going up to and who's coming down from the Premier League. In time honoured tradition, we don't offer predictions, just things we wouldn't be surprised about if they happened.

Sound Of Football Podcast 218 - Playing away from home

It's often said that it's good to try new things but does that apply to football clubs? This week Graham, Terry and Jan take a nostalgic look back at their experiences of dabbling with groundhopping to watch clubs that weren't their own. Our wander down memory lane covers subjects as diverse as the German sausages at Craven Cottage to the peculiar habits of the home crowd on the terraces at Ayresome Park.

And of course, there's a bit of Top Trumps too.

Sound Of Football Podcast 217 - The lost opportunity for Women's football in Britain

With the recent controversy surrounding David Gill's appointment as British vice-President of FIFA, there is a lot of ill-feeling between the FA and the other Home Nation FAs. It's hardly surprising that within a few days of that vote, the FA-led plans of sending a combined Team GB to the 2016 Olympics in Rio were blocked by the Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish FAs.

While for the men this may not seem like a big deal: Britain miss out on the chance to compete in an under-23 tournament. For the women though, this decision means they are denied the opportunity of participating in a full senior event arguably more prestigious then their own World Cup.

On this week's pod, Graham, Terry and Jan discuss whether it's time for the Women's game to go it alone and makes its own decisions without the petty politics of the Men's game to hold it back.
