As Graham, Jan and Terry reveal huge gaps in their knowledge of football fiction and no desire to expose themselves to it, we ask why it's all so bad and if it could ever be good.

Personally I was thought that "This Sporting Life" which although about rugby league was the best film about sport I ever saw.

Apologies for the lateness in responding (and apologies if someone's already pointed this out), but the Denis Lawson 'Screen One' programme you mentioned was called 'Born Kicking' - just in case you wanted to commit it correctly to memory. :)
