Sound Of Football Podcast 88 - Being a football supporter

We may all take it for granted, but what's really involved with being a football supporter these days? Just how much do we interact with each other, how well do we understand the game and how much football do you have to watch?

Are our shared experiences strengthened or weakened by the sheer amount of viewing choice we have these days? And do you really have to watch a game 'in the flesh' to consider yourself a proper supporter?

These questions and many others are answered by the Sound of Football team - minus Terry who's away on holiday this week. Luckily for you, we've found a more than adequate replacement in the shape of Chris Nee from the TwoFootedTackle blog and podcast...

Sound Of Football Podcast 87 - Footballers on Twitter

The boys of the Sound Of Football have been on Twitter since just after it popped out of Biz Stone's entrepreneurial womb. So who better to cast their eye on the shenanigans and hubbub of top footballers on Twitter.

From Rohan Rickett's self promotion, Jack Wilshire's dog walking, Nani's etherialism and Stan Collymore's caps locks we ask what draws players to Twitter and why?

Sound Of Football Podcast 86 - The Premier League is quite good

The chaps have been pleasantly surprised by the start of the Premier League season so thought it would be quite nice to talk about it.

We run or barely trained eyes over the top four in the English top flight and ask if the Manchester clubs are likely to run away with the title race, leaving Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal to pick up the scraps.

Sound Of Football Podcast 85 - International Football on the Telly

Join us as we discuss the recent coverage of international football on the telly and its relationship with UK broadcasters.

How enthusiastic are Sky as broadcasters of the international game? To what extent are TV companies become embroiled in the age old club v country debate. Are they motivated by the more regular income generated by the Premier League and Champions League?

And how has the culture of the England supporter changed with the increased coverage of England on the telly? These and a few more unrelated issues are discussed on the Sound Of Football podcast.
