Sound Of Football Podcast 68 - The January Transfer Window

This week there is only one story in town and that's the bloody January Transfer Window.

Join Chris, Graham and Terry as we cast our cynical eyes on the comings, goings, toings and froings as the dreaded transfer window slams shut. Hopefully, trapping Harry Redknapp's fingers in the process. Just kidding, Stratford fans.

Sound Of Football Podcast 67b - Where next for Sky Sports?

Chris, Graham and Terry went for a few beers at the Sports Bar and Grill in London. So when the whole hullabaloo with Richard Keys and Andy Gray took place we thought it would be a good idea to record a podcast.

The chaps decided to focus on what Sky Sports will do now that their two heavyweight broadcasters are out of the picture. Who will Sky recruit to replace them?

Such names bandied around are Chris Kamara, Ben Shepherd, Jeff Stelling, Clare Tomlinson, Gary Lineker, Adrian Chiles and many many more including John Inverdale, curiously.

Inevitably the chaps stray off topic and just as inevitably, James Richardson's name pops up.

Sound Of Football Podcast 67 - Olympic Shenanigans and MK Spurs

This week, the chaps try to get to the bottom of the Olympic Stadium saga.

With the decision as to which party to award the site delayed, the situation has moved in to high politics.

Our conversation explores the role of AEG in the Tottenham bid the implications for Leyton Orient and the possibility of West Ham playing at an Athletics Stadium. How does this effect London's contract with the IOC? What about the Olympic legacy? Where do Crystal Palace fit in to all this and when can we start calling Tottenham Hotspur MK Spurs.

It's a complex web and the chaps do their best to de-web it.

Sound of Football Podcast 65 - 2018/2022 World Cup Bid

In this episode, Chris, Graham and Terry reflect on the surprising (or perhaps not-so-surprising) FIFA announcement that Russia will host the 2018 World Cup and Qatar will host the 2022 equivalent.

Could the England bid team have avoided so much disappointment, frustration and anger by simply not bidding in the first place, and would it have been better to simply stuff £15 million into a large brown envelope and send it to Jack Warner?

All this plus our regular attack on the British media, a Simpsons reference or two and even a mention for Ian Holloway - on this week's Sound of Football.
